Brecon Carreg Cardiff Bay 10K

A popular spring-time race, which attracts some of the UK’s top athletes is set in the heart of the Cardiff’s historic Bay.
The 10K course takes in all of Cardiff Bay’s most iconic landmarks, starting and finishing in Roald Dahl Plass and passing the Wales Millennium Centre, Mermaid Quay, the Pierhead Building, Senedd, Porth Teigr and the Cardiff Bay Barrage.
ABP Newport Marathon Festival

A firm favourite in the Welsh running calendar, boasting one of the flattest marathon courses in the UK.
Its route offers iconic landmarks, like the city’s Transporter Bridge and the stunning scenery of the Gwent Levels – with its coastal wildlife and picturesque medieval villages.
The event has been expanded into an exciting festival of running with marathon, half marathon, 10K and junior race options.
A fast and fun supporting 10K race gives runners of all abilities the opportunity to get involved, without committing to the challenging 26.2-mile distance.
Porthcawl 10K

An exciting race in the town known for surf, sports and coastal walks. A summertime hotspot for both locals and visitors – Porthcawl is renowned for shining under the sun.
The 10K race takes place on closed-roads, taking in a number of landmarks and stunning seaside spots including Rest Bay, Trecco Bay, Coney Bay, the picturesque town centre, historic Grand Pavillion and the iconic Porthcawl Lighthouse.
Brecon Carreg CDF 10K

The Brecon Carreg CDF 10K was established by Welsh charity Kidney Wales in 1985.
In 2023, Run 4 Wales (R4W), Wales’ leading mass participation events company added the historic Cardiff 10K to its portfolio of world-class events. The revival of this iconic event gives thousands of runners the opportunity to take to the streets of the Welsh capital every autumn.
Cardiff Half Marathon

The Cardiff Half Marathon has grown into one of the largest and most exciting road races in Europe. It is the UK’s second largest half marathon and Wales’ largest multi-charity fundraising event.
The race is a member of the SuperHalfs, a global series of the world’s most prestigious half marathons including races in Lisbon, Prague, Berlin, Copenhagen and Valencia and has been awarded a Elite Race Label by World Athletics.
Its flat, fast course passes all of the city’s most breathtaking scenery and iconic landmarks including Cardiff Castle, the Principality Stadium, Civic Centre and stunning Cardiff Bay. Thousands of spectators turn out to cheer on the runners in a city renowned for its sporting passion.
