Travel Advice

By Car

Please be aware that lots of people will be aiming for the start of the race at the same time as you so we advise allowing plenty of time to travel and park. Lift sharing is strongly encouraged.

Follow postcode CF32 OLS and look for directional signage from the A48 Ewenny Roundabout and then car parking signage. Follow the green/yellow EVENT arrows.  Note that the lane from the West is closed and you need to go to Ewenny Roundabout to gain access from the A48.

Parking

Free car parking is available for all participants at the top of Merthyr Mawr Lane, where traffic management and car parking attendants will guide you. Space is limited, so please lift-share where possible to help us ease congestion.

By Train

The nearest train station is Bridgend which is less than two and a half hours from both London Paddington and Birmingham, and around 20 minutes from Cardiff.

From the train station you may take a short taxi ride to the event site, or even a warm-up jog or walk! (the distance is around 3 miles). Please note, due to the lack of mobile phone reception, remember to pre-book your return taxi journey to Bridgend.

By Bus

National Express coaches run from London Victoria to Bridgend and there are bus options from Cardiff, Newport and Swansea. Bridgend town centre is around 3 miles from the event site, so you may take a short taxi ride, or warm up walk or jog. Please note, due to the lack of mobile phone reception, remember to pre-book your return taxi journey to Bridgend.

By Bike

We encourage sustainable transport where possible. There are a limited number of areas in the Merthyr Mawr car park at Candleston where you can securely padlock a bike.
